Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy seeks an AM SCM in Mumbai with 5+ years' experience in procurement and supply chain coordination. You will plan and execute procurement of materials, assess suppliers, and manage POs to ensure quality, cost, and delivery.

You'll collaborate with planning, production and logistics to maintain material flow, monitor inventory and resolve supplier delays, while driving cost optimization and vendor performance.

Qualifications

• Engineering graduate required.
• Min 5 years in SCM/procurement.
• Experience in supplier onboarding and PO management.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

• Plan and execute procurement of raw materials, components, consumables, and services.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
• Prepare RFQs, assess quotations, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines.
• Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) with accurate documentation.

Supply Chain Coordination

• Collaborate with planning, production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
• Track supplier deliveries and proactively resolve delays or supply issues.

Cost & Vendor Management

• Drive cost optimization through negotiations, alternate sourcing, and value engineering.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery metrics.
• Maintain and update the approved vendor database in line with company standards.
