Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy seeks an AM SCM in Mumbai to lead procurement, sourcing and material flow while driving cost optimization. The role requires a strong hands-on approach to supply chain coordination and vendor management.

You will plan procurement of materials and services, evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, prepare RFQs, and create POs. You will coordinate with planning, production, quality, and logistics to ensure on-time delivery and optimal inventory levels.

Qualifications

• Engineering graduate required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in SCM/procurement.
• Location Mumbai, India.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement of raw materials, components, consumables, and services.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
• Prepare RFQs, assess quotations, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines.
• Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) with accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with planning, production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
• Track supplier deliveries and proactively resolve delays or supply issues.
• Drive cost optimization through negotiations, alternate sourcing, and value engineering.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery metrics.
• Maintain and update the approved vendor database in line with company standards.
