Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy in Mumbai is seeking an AM SCM with a minimum of 5 years in procurement and supply chain roles. The candidate will plan and execute material procurement, onboard reliable suppliers, and manage RFQs and POs to ensure quality, cost, and timely delivery.

The role requires an engineering background and onsite work in Mumbai. He/She will coordinate with planning, production, quality, and logistics to maintain smooth material flow and optimize costs.

Qualifications

• Engineering graduates with relevant procurement exposure.
• Min 5 years of SCM/Procurement experience.
• Mumbai-based role with onsite work.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement of raw materials, components, consumables, and services.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
• Prepare RFQs, assess quotations, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines.
• Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) with accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with planning, production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
• Track supplier deliveries and proactively resolve delays or supply issues.
• Drive cost optimization through negotiations, alternate sourcing, and value engineering.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery metrics.
• Maintain and update the approved vendor database in line with company standards.
