Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is seeking an AM SCM (Assistant Manager - SCM) in Mumbai. The candidate will plan and execute procurement of materials, coordinate with planning, production, quality and logistics to ensure smooth material flow, and drive cost optimization through supplier negotiations and alternate sourcing.

Education required is any Engineering graduate with a minimum of 5 years' experience in SCM. This on-site role requires strong vendor management skills and a focus on timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

• Plan and execute procurement of raw materials, components, consumables, and services.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
• Prepare RFQs, assess quotations, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines.
• Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) with accurate documentation.

Supply Chain Coordination

• Collaborate with planning, production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
• Track supplier deliveries and proactively resolve delays or supply issues.

Cost & Vendor Management

• Drive cost optimization through negotiations, alternate sourcing, and value engineering.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery metrics.
• Maintain and update the approved vendor database in line with company standards.
