Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy in Mumbai is seeking an AM SCM with 5+ years of experience to lead procurement, sourcing, and supply chain coordination for materials, components, and services.

You will identify reliable suppliers, manage POs, negotiate terms, monitor inventory, and ensure timely deliveries while driving cost optimization and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Engineering graduate with SCM exposure.
• Experience in procurement and vendor management is desirable.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement of raw materials, components, and services.
• Identify and onboard reliable suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals.
• Prepare RFQs, evaluate quotations, and negotiate terms.
• Create and manage Purchase Orders with proper documentation.
• Coordinate with planning, production, quality, and logistics for smooth material flow.
• Monitor inventory to avoid stockouts or overstock.
• Track deliveries and resolve supply delays.
• Drive cost optimization and evaluate supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

• Plan and execute procurement of raw materials, components, consumables, and services.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
• Prepare RFQs, assess quotations, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines.
• Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) with accurate documentation.

Supply Chain Coordination

• Collaborate with planning, production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
• Track supplier deliveries and proactively resolve delays or supply issues.

Cost & Vendor Management

• Drive cost optimization through negotiations, alternate sourcing, and value engineering.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery metrics.
• Maintain and update the approved vendor database in line with company standards.
