Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited [Automotive and Farm Equipment Business] is looking for a logistic operations specialist to manage receipt and dispatch processes, optimize truck turnaround times, and enforce strict inventory controls. You will promote a zero-safety culture, implement FIFO methods, and drive TPM initiatives to maximise equipment availability across the plant.

Responsibilities

  • Managing all receipt and dispatch transactions accurately and ensuring that all materials are properly received, stored, and dispatched in a timely manner to meet internal customer requirements.
  • Monitoring and optimising truck turnaround times to align with or exceed operational goals, facilitating smooth logistical flow and reduced downtime.
  • Enforcing strict material accountability within the designated areas by implementing robust inventory control measures and conducting regular audits to avoid stock discrepancies.
  • Promoting and enforcing a zero-safety-incident culture by training associates and middle management on Behavior-Based Safety (BBS2) practices, fostering a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Implementing First-In-First-Out (FIFO) inventory management principles to ensure efficient material rotation and minimise wastage or obsolescence.
  • Driving Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices in accordance with organisational roadmaps, striving to maximise equipment availability and reduce downtime.
  • Co-ordinating the timely dispatch of material rejections back to suppliers, ensuring expedient resolution and communication.
  • Leveraging advanced IT systems and digital tools to streamline operations, enhance data accuracy and real-time monitoring within the area of responsibility.
  • Effectively planning and allocating resources, including manpower and equipment, to meet dynamic operational demands while optimising cost and efficiency.
