Job summary

Pragcure Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. in Delhi seeks an Assistant Manager for Pharma Warehousing & Cold Chain Logistics to manage receipt, storage and export dispatch of finished formulations, ensuring cold chain integrity and GDP-compliant packaging.

You will coordinate with freight forwarders and CHAs to ensure on-time delivery. You will conduct final quality checks, prepare customs documents, optimize warehouse space and maintain records for billing and audits.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in warehouse management, packaging and logistics of cold chain goods in pharma.
• Advanced understanding of Cold Chain temperature maintenance and GDP norms; GDP/GMP audit exposure preferred.
• Reliable, punctual and organized with strong attention to detail.
• Proficient English communication; MS Excel/Office and email writing skills.

Assistant Manager – Pharma Warehousing & Cold Chain Logistics

Overview

The job requires an individual to manage the receipt, warehousing and export dispatch of pharmaceutical products (finished formulations) as per Pharma GDP norms. The candidate has to ensure adequate cold chain and ambient temperature export packaging for all shipments. Additionally, the candidate has to coordinate with freight forwarders / CHAs and transport vendors for export logistics and ensure that the shipment reaches the destination safely, within expected timelines. To sum up, the candidate shall support and facilitate the timely delivery of quality finished goods to customers, the efficient and safe storage of the Company’s finished goods inventory, and the effective management of inventory.

Major responsibilities include:

• -Supervising the receipt of Goods and checking if in proper condition, as per required temperature and physical goods details matching with Supplier Invoice.
• -Proper stacking and storage of goods, as per the required product temperature, to prevent any product damage.
• -Understanding the required cold chain packaging along with data logger aspects and ensuring that the goods are packaged accurately and adequately as per the Export Invoice / Packing List for shipping and end-to-end temperature maintenance.
• -Ensuring the complete set of documents have been prepared for customs clearance.
• -Coordinating with transport vendor for timely arrival of Reefer / Transport vehicle, safe loading / unloading of goods and smooth handover of the goods at the respective ports, resolving customs clearance issue, arrangement of AWB, etc.
• -Conduct the final quality inspections on all outgoing warehouse stock.
• -Monitoring the shipment till it reaches the destination.
• -Communicating and coordinating with internal billing personnel to share the precise dimensions and weight aspects of the goods to be shipped, to ensure close estimation of the shipping charges.
• -Planning and coordination with procurement and sales team, as and when required.
• -Vendor screening & Freight Negotiation, as per the Cargo requirement.
• -Ensure all forms as per SOPs are filled on a timely basis and MIS is provided as per management requirement.
• -Maintaining adequate operational records to assist the accountant, in checking 3PL and freight forwarder bills accurately.
• -Efficiently utilize warehouse space, materials and equipment, appropriately secure warehouse facilities and ensure that the warehouse is clean, tidy, orderly and maintained in accordance with acceptable housekeeping standards.
• -Ensuring that all warehouse equipment including medical refrigerators, air conditioners are in good working condition and taking corrective action at the earliest, in case necessary.
• -Efficiently plan and coordinate the scheduling of the expeditious delivery of products to customers in accordance with relevant delivery schedules as well as maintain a means to track product quality, quantity and costs.
• -Prepare and submit reports on all aspects of the warehousing and dispatching operations to the management.
• -Develop and maintain a consultative communication system with sales personnel and subordinate team members for the purpose of reviewing operating policies, plans, human and equipment performance-related problems and initiating creative solutions to address/correct deficiencies.
• -Cost effectively coordinate and manage transport contractors and freight forwarders for export shipment.
• -Follow-up on internal and external CAPA’s/investigations.
• -Facilitating external audits of warehouse operations.

Skills required:

• - At least 5 years of experience in warehouse management, packaging and logistics of cold chain goods or temperature sensitive products in a pharmaceutical / biomedical / in-vitro diagnostics organization OR a pharmaceutical logistics company is mandatory.
• - Advanced level of proficiency in understanding of Cold Chain temperature maintenance, adequate pharma packaging, as per Pharma GDP norms. Prior experience / exposure of GDP / GMP audits will be preferred.
• - Responsible, punctual and organized individual with attention to detail required.
• - Problem solver in an uncertain circumstances and ability to behave and plan the operations in a careful and risk mitigating manner.
• - Good written and verbal communication in English language.
• - Intermediate proficiency level required in MS Excel, MS Office, Internet usage and Email writing.
• - Willingness to review the processes, identify the gaps and inform the management about improvement measures, wherever required, shall be highly appreciated.
