Job summary

AB InBev India is seeking an Assistant Manager - Packaging for its Supply team based in Neemrana, Rajasthan. You will lead packaging projects, coordinating engineering, operations and construction teams to deliver on time, within scope and budget.

Responsibilities include stakeholder interfaces, contractor management, safety leadership, quality assurance and operational readiness to hand over to operations, while building high-performing teams and promoting continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead Packaging Project Delivery: Manage planning, engineering design, construction, commissioning, and execution of packaging system projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and business requirements.
• Coordinate Multi-Disciplinary Engineering Activities: Integrate engineering, operations, and construction teams to develop optimized layouts, eliminate construction conflicts, and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Act as Key Stakeholder Interface: Serve as the primary contact for customers, zone engineering teams, contractors, and regulatory authorities for design reviews, approvals, and project coordination.
• Manage Contractors and Construction Resources: Lead contractor qualification, technical bid evaluations, contractor development, contract management, and performance monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive Safety, Health & Environmental Excellence: Ensure full EHS compliance through safety leadership, site inspections, risk assessments, permit-to-work systems, incident investigations, contractor safety management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Control Project Scope, Budget & Schedule: Manage project planning, change control, procurement activities, cost forecasting, expenditure tracking, recovery plans, and progress reporting to achieve project objectives.
• Support Commissioning & Operational Readiness: Coordinate startup activities, maintenance planning, spare parts strategies, SOP development, training programs, snag-list management, and successful handover to operations.
• Develop High-Performing Teams: Foster a positive work environment by developing packaging team capabilities, assigning responsibilities, evaluating performance, and motivating employees to exceed expectations.
• Ensure Quality Assurance & Compliance: Implement quality management systems through inspections, testing, material verification, manufacturing audits, defect management (NCRs), and documentation control.
• Promote Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement: Uphold company values of safety, ethics, teamwork, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement while delivering packaging projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
