Job summary

AB InBev India is hiring an Assistant Manager - Environment & Safety for its Supply team based in Neemrana, Rajasthan. The role leads the ES function on project construction sites, ensuring safety, environmental, and maintenance compliance from planning through handover.

You will coordinate with operations, manage contractor safety, conduct risk assessments, and drive incident reporting and continuous improvement to protect people and the project schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the ES Function by building team capability and guiding safety engineers.
• Manage MCRS and ES Governance while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Support Project Execution and Plant Readiness through coordination with operations and transition teams to ensure startup and handover.
• Drive Safety, Environmental, and Maintenance Compliance by ensuring permits and approvals are completed before commissioning.
• Champion Contractor Safety Management through toolbox talks, audits, certification reviews, training, kick-offs, and monitoring.
• Lead ES Reporting and Incident Management with timely reporting, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and improvement initiatives.
• Conduct Risk Assessments and Safety Audits including daily, weekly, monthly audits, JSA participation, and high-risk permit approvals.
• Manage Change Control and High-Risk Activities by monitoring ES change management processes and approving critical permits such as hot work, scaffolding and hazardous material activities.
• Coordinate with Regulatory Authorities including environmental, safety, fire, police and sanitation departments to secure approvals and maintain compliance.
• Promote a Culture of Safety, Ethics, Quality and Operational Excellence while ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, responsibly and in line with company values and continuous improvement objectives.

Purpose

Take ES management responsibility of project construction site. Help the team to hit the final target safely.

Responsibilities :

• Lead and Develop the ES Function by building team capability, providing guidance to safety engineers, and strengthening ES competencies across projects.
• Manage MCRS and ES Governance while ensuring compliance with company policies, ES regulations, and VPO ES pillar requirements.
• Support Project Execution and Plant Readiness through close coordination with operations and transition teams to ensure successful startup and handover.
• Drive Safety, Environmental, and Maintenance Compliance by ensuring all requirements, permits, assessments, and approvals are completed before project commissioning.
• Champion Contractor Safety Management through toolbox meetings, contractor audits, certification reviews, safety training, kick-off meetings, and ongoing performance monitoring.
• Lead ES Reporting and Incident Management by ensuring timely reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct Risk Assessments and Safety Audits including daily, weekly, monthly and specialized audits, hazard identification, JSA participation, and high‑risk work permit approvals.
• Manage Change Control and High‑Risk Activities by monitoring ES change management processes and approving critical permits such as hot work, scaffolding and hazardous material activities.
• Coordinate with Regulatory Authorities including environmental, safety, fire, police and sanitation departments to secure approvals and maintain compliance.
