Job summary

AB InBev India seeks an Assistant Manager - Brewing for the Supply team in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. You will lead brewing project execution, coordinate across engineering, operations and contractors, and ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Collaborating with stakeholder groups, you will manage budgets, schedules, and startup readiness, while developing the brewing team and driving continuous improvement in operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead brewing project execution across planning, design, construction, and commissioning within scope, budget and schedule.
• Coordinate across engineering, operations, contractors and stakeholders to deliver integrated layouts.
• Serve as technical and customer liaison for design reviews, approvals and construction coordination.
• Oversee contractor selection, bidding, development, performance monitoring and contract management.
• Drive safety, environmental and regulatory compliance through leadership and risk assessments.
• Control project scope, budget and schedule; manage procurement, change, timelines and progress reporting.
• Ensure operational readiness and startup success with maintenance planning and SOP development.
• Lead team development and performance management for brewing staff.
• Implement Quality Management Systems with QA/QC activities and audits.
• Promote Operational Excellence and continuous improvement delivering value and sustainable results.

AB InBev India is looking to hire Assistant Manager - Brewing for its Supply team based out of Aurangabad,Maharastra.

Purpose

Lead the Brewing construction of responsible project from ES, quality, schedule, cost control perspective. Help the team to hit the final target.

Responsibilities

1. Lead Brewing Project Execution: Direct planning, engineering design, construction, and commissioning of brewing system projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, scope, budget, and timelines.
2. Manage Cross-Functional Coordination :Collaborate with engineering disciplines, operations, transition teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver integrated layouts and seamless project execution.
3. Serve as Technical & Customer Liaison :Act as the primary point of contact for customers, zone engineering teams, and regulatory authorities for design reviews, approvals, and construction coordination.
4. Oversee Contractor Selection & Development :Lead contractor qualification, technical bid evaluation, contractor development, performance monitoring, and construction contract management.
5. Drive Safety, Environmental & Regulatory Compliance :Champion EHS standards through safety leadership, risk assessments, contractor safety management, work permits, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Control Project Scope, Budget & Schedule :Manage project planning, forecasting, expenditures, procurement, change management, timelines, milestones, recovery plans, and progress reporting to ensure successful delivery.
7. Ensure Operational Readiness & Start-Up Success :Support commissioning activities through maintenance planning, spare parts strategy, SOP development, training programs, snag list closure, and startup readiness.
8. Lead Team Development & Performance Management :Build a positive work environment by developing brewing team capabilities, assigning responsibilities, evaluating performance, and motivating staff to achieve high standards.
9. Implement Quality Management Systems :Direct quality assurance and quality control activities including inspections, testing, material verification, defect resolution (NCRs), documentation control, and manufacturing audits.
10. Promote Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement : Uphold company values of safety, ethics, teamwork, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement while ensuring projects deliver value and sustainable business results.
