Job summary

AB InBev India is seeking an Assistant Manager - Civil for its Supply team in Neemrana, Rajasthan. The role leads civil construction from planning through start-up and handover, coordinating with engineering, operations and external stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will have experience in civils projects for FMCG, ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance while managing budgets and timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil construction for FMCG preferred.
• End-to-end civil project leadership and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead Civil Engineering & Construction Projects: manage end-to-end civil construction planning, engineering design, execution, and expansion projects while ensuring compliance with specifications, budgets, and timelines.
• Drive Cross-Functional Project Coordination: coordinate engineering disciplines, operations, transition teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to deliver integrated layouts and conflict-free project execution.
• Manage Design Reviews & Stakeholder Engagement: interface with customers, standard engineering teams, and government authorities for design reviews, approvals, and construction coordination.
• Oversee Contractor Selection & Performance: lead contractor qualification, bid evaluations, development, safety compliance, and performance management.
• Ensure Safety, Environmental & Regulatory Compliance: champion EHS programs, conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, permit management, and contractor safety governance.
• Control Project Scope, Budget & Schedule: manage scopes, change management, cost forecasting, procurement plans, and milestone achievement.
• Maintain Quality Assurance & Quality Control: direct quality management processes, inspections, testing, NCR/defect resolution, documentation control.
• Lead Team Development & Performance Management: develop civil engineering capabilities, assign and monitor work, motivate team members.
• Support Plant Start-up & Operational Readiness: ensure maintenance, spare parts planning, SOPs, training, snag-list closure and handover.

Purpose

Lead the civil construction of responsible project from ES, quality, schedule, cost control perspective. Help the team to hit the final target. Preferably someone with experience in civils projects for FMCG.

Responsibilities

• Lead Civil Engineering & Construction Projects: Manage end-to-end civil construction planning, engineering design, execution, and expansion projects while ensuring compliance with specifications, budgets, and timelines.
• Drive Cross-Functional Project Coordination: Coordinate engineering disciplines, operations, transition teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to deliver integrated layouts and conflict-free project execution.
• Manage Design Reviews & Stakeholder Engagement :Act as the primary interface with customers, standard engineering teams, and government authorities for design reviews, approvals, and construction coordination.
• Oversee Contractor Selection & Performance :Lead contractor qualification, bid evaluations, contractor development, safety compliance, and performance management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure Safety, Environmental & Regulatory Compliance :Champion EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) programs, conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, incident investigations, permit management, and contractor safety governance.
• Control Project Scope, Budget & Schedule :Manage construction scopes of work, change management, cost forecasting, expenditure tracking, procurement plans, recovery actions, and project milestone achievement.
• Maintain Quality Assurance & Quality Control :Direct quality management processes, inspections, testing, NCR/defect resolution, documentation control, supplier/shop inspections, and construction quality compliance.
• Lead Team Development & Performance Management :Develop civil engineering capabilities, assign and monitor work, evaluate performance, motivate team members, and foster a positive, high-performing work environment.
• Support Plant Start-up & Operational Readiness :Ensure completion of maintenance requirements, spare parts planning, SOP development, training plans, snag-list closure, and successful project handover/start-up.
• Promote Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement :Drive ethical conduct, teamwork, operational efficiency, continuous improvement, daily reporting, action tracking, and delivery of projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
