Job summary

VRV Asia Pacific Pvt Ltd, a CHART Industries company, seeks an Assistant Manager - Manufacturing Engineering in Andhra Pradesh. You will drive lean implementation, kaizen and process improvements for cryogenic equipment manufacturing. 10–12 years in cryogenic, pressure vessels or related capital goods sectors is required.

You will lead operational excellence initiatives, support production targets, and develop training for shift leaders while ensuring safety and quality compliance.

Qualifications

• BE / B.Tech (Mech.) with 10–12 years of experience in Cryogenic / Pressure Vessels / Oil & Gas / Boilers or related capital goods manufacturing.
• Strong focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement processes.
• Proven people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Production department to achieve targets.
• Develop, deploy and sustain lean principles and practices.
• Identify best practices and deploy kaizen initiatives.
• Create and execute an annual operations excellence plan.
• Improve process control, cost-out opportunities, and overall execution.
• Plan and improve operational efficiency for production.
• Design training for Shift In-Charges / Supervisors & Engineers.
• Implement Lean, Kanban, 5S; drive continuous improvement.
• Plan production to meet monthly targets and project schedules.
• Utilize 5S, Six Sigma, TPM & TQM in operations.
• Optimize manpower utilization and ensure timely targets.
• Ensure safety, regulatory, quality systems compliance.

Position : Assistant Manager - Manufacturing Engineering

Reporting to : Senior Manager - Manufacturing Engineering

Location : Sri City, Tada, Andhra Pradesh (Near Chennai)

Your Experience Should Be...

BE / B. Tech (Mech.) with 10 to 12 years of experience in Cryogenic / Pressure Vessels / Oil & Gas / Boilers industry or any capital goods manufacturing & fabrication industry.

Should have good experience in operational excellence & continuous improvement processes

Should have good people management skills

What Will You Do?

• Support Production department to achieve the target
• Provide support to optimize, standardize and deploy lean principles and practices.
• Determine best practices and provide support in developing and deploying kaizen.
• Develop and implement an annual operations excellence plan for process control, cost out opportunities and overall execution.
• Plan & improve operational efficiency and support to production department to achieve the target.
• Design the process for identifying functional training needs for Shift In-Charges / Supervisors & Engineers.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing concept, Kanban system & Continue process improvement and provide training for the same.
• Plan theproductionin order to execute the monthlyproductiontarget and Project Schedule.
• Implement 5S, Six Sigma, TPM & TQM
• Effective utilization of man power with maximum efficiency.
• Ensure timely accomplishment ofproductiontargets within the time frame and cost parametersmutually agreed with the Management
• Compliance to Safety, Statutory Regulations, Quality Management Systems, IMS Procedures & good housing in the plant.
• Work on cost saving through value analysis / value engineering
• To create and follow all necessary indicators to evaluate the manufacturing process for continuous improvement practice such as LEAN management and SIX Sigma.
• Reduce the rework and rejection by applying the various tools & process
