Job summary

Chart Industries is hiring a Senior Engineer - Production at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The role requires BE/B.Tech (Mech.) with 5 years in cryogenic/pressure vessels or related capital goods manufacturing.

You will plan production, lead teams, and ensure targets are met while upholding safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include coordinating with procurement, QA, design, and planning, guiding the workforce, and driving continuous improvement through LEAN and Six Sigma practices.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years in cryogenic/pressure vessels or capital goods.
• Strong welding skills: TIG, MIG, SAW; familiarity with ASME codes.
• Good organizational, communication and people-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan production to meet monthly targets and project schedules.
• Lead production staff and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure targets meet time, cost, and safety standards.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and IMS procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement using LEAN and SIX Sigma.
• Collaborate with procurement, QA, design, and planning for smooth workflow.
• Maintain safe working environment and good housekeeping.
• Define corrective actions with quality reps for non-conformities.
• Participate in new product development and capacity studies.

Reporting to : Head - Production

Location : Sri City, Tada, Andhra Pradesh (Near Chennai)

Your Experience Should Be...

• BE / B. Tech (Mech.) with 5 years of experience in Cryogenic / Pressure Vessels / Oil & Gas / Boilers industry or any capital goods manufacturing & fabrication industry.


• Should have good knowledge in welding process (TIG,MIG & SAW), testing procedures & ASME codes


• Should Have Good Organizational & Communication Skills


• Should have good people management skills


• Hard working and result oriented approach towards achieving tasks

What Will You Do?

• Plan the production in order to execute the monthly production target and Project Schedule.


• Manage the production employees and give technical support & guidelines related to the production processes.


• Ensure timely accomplishment of production targets within the time frame and cost parameters mutually agreed with the Management


• Compliance to Safety, Statutory Regulations, Quality Management Systems & IMS Procedures


• To create and follow all necessary indicators to evaluate the manufacturing process for continuous improvement practice such as LEAN management and SIX Sigma.


• Reduce the rework and rejection by applying the various tools & process


• To coordinate with all other supporting departments such as procurement, quality control & assurance, Design, and Planning to ensure smooth production work flow.


• Ensure & create safe working environment & good housekeeping in the workshop.


• Define preventive and corrective actions along with the quality representative in the processes inherent to the Quality Assurance System, and removal of non-conformities.


• Participate in the development of new products, conducting pertinent studies, analyzing the production capacity and other relevant.
