Job summary

Chart Industries, Inc. in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh is seeking an Assistant Manager - Manufacturing Engineering to lead operations excellence initiatives and drive Lean deployment across the plant.

You will oversee process improvements, kaizen projects, and cost-out opportunities while developing a high-performing team. The role emphasizes safety, quality systems, and timely target achievement in a cryogenic equipment manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• BE / B. Tech (Mech.) with 10–12 years in Cryogenic / Pressure Vessels / Oil & Gas or capital goods manufacturing.
• Experience in operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Strong people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Production to achieve targets.
• Lead lean deployment and standardization across operations.
• Develop and deploy kaizen initiatives.
• Plan annual operations excellence plan for process control and cost-out opportunities.
• Improve operational efficiency and support production targets.
• Identify training needs for Shift In-Charge teams.
• Implement Lean, Kanban, and continuous process improvements; train teams.
• Plan production to meet monthly targets and project schedules.
• Apply 5S, Six Sigma, TPM & TQM practices.
• Ensure safety, quality systems, IMS compliance.
• Drive cost savings through value analysis / value engineering.

Reporting to : Senior Manager - Manufacturing Engineering

Location : Sri City, Tada, Andhra Pradesh (Near Chennai)

Your Experience Should Be...

BE / B. Tech (Mech.) with 10 to 12 years of experience in Cryogenic / Pressure Vessels / Oil & Gas / Boilers industry or any capital goods manufacturing & fabrication industry.

Should have good experience in operational excellence & continuous improvement processes

Should have good people management skills

What Will You Do?

• Support Production department to achieve the target
• Provide support to optimize, standardize and deploy lean principles and practices.
• Determine best practices and provide support in developing and deploying kaizen.
• Develop and implement an annual operations excellence plan for process control, cost out opportunities and overall execution.
• Plan & improve operational efficiency and support to production department to achieve the target.
• Design the process for identifying functional training needs for Shift In-Charges / Supervisors & Engineers.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing concept, Kanban system & Continue process improvement and provide training for the same.
• Plan theproductionin order to execute the monthlyproductiontarget and Project Schedule.
• Implement 5S, Six Sigma, TPM & TQM
• Effective utilization of man power with maximum efficiency.
• Ensure timely accomplishment ofproductiontargets within the time frame and cost parametersmutually agreed with the Management
• Compliance to Safety, Statutory Regulations, Quality Management Systems, IMS Procedures & good housing in the plant.
• Work on cost saving through value analysis / value engineering
• To create and follow all necessary indicators to evaluate the manufacturing process for continuous improvement practice such as LEAN management and SIX Sigma.
• Reduce the rework and rejection by applying the various tools & process
