Job summary

Hyatt Regency Portland Convention Center in Portland, Oregon, US, is seeking an Assistant Manager – Butler to oversee the Butler team and ensure exceptional guest experiences in a luxury setting. You will support the Butler Manager, guide staff, and uphold Hyatt International's standards while maintaining inventory and operating within budget.

The role requires hospitality/HM management credentials and experience in luxury hotels; additional Butler training is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ideally with a degree, apprenticeship or diploma in Hospitality or hotel management.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience as Assistant Manager – Butler or 2 years' experience as Team Leader - Butler in a luxury hotel.
• Butler training programme certification will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Butler Manager to manage and delegate the Butler team for seamless, independent service.
• Ensure maximum guest satisfaction while operating within budget and maintaining inventory and supplies.
• Provide proficient organizational, planning, and guest-complaint handling support in line with Hyatt standards.

You will be responsible forthe efficient running ofthe department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies andbrand standards, whilst meetingemployee, guest and owner expectations. The Assistant Manager - Butler will assist the Butler Manager to manage and delegate the team as a successful independent butler services, in line with the Hyatt's operating concept and Hyatt International standards, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction while operating within budget and maintaining inventory and supplies, helping to ensure the seamless hotel operations through proficient organizational, planning and excellent guest complaint handling skills. Should have attention to detail and the ability to multitask while maintaining positive attitude.

Qualifications

Ideally with a relevant degree, apprenticeship or diploma in Hospitality or hotel management. Minimum 1 year of work experience as Assistant Manager – Butler or 2 years' experience as Team Leader - Butler in a luxury hotel with excellent standards. Vast knowledge of various cuisines, wines and dining standards. Butler training programme certification will be an added advantage.
