Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, software and IT systems.
• Ensure availability, performance and reliability of IT infrastructure and systems.
• Lead installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrading of IT hardware, software and network infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot critical system, server, hardware, software and network issues.
• Manage LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, TCP/IP, switches, routers and other network infrastructure.
• Ensure timely data backup, system recovery and disaster recovery processes.
• Implement and monitor IT security measures and access controls.
• Coordinate with external IT vendors for AMC, repairs, maintenance, upgrades and support.

The role involves overseeing IT operations, resolving critical technical issues, managing IT vendors and assets, ensuring data and system security, and supporting technology upgrades and implementation across the organization.

Principal Job Responsibilities

1. Manage and oversee IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, software and IT systems.
2. Ensure optimal availability, performance and reliability of IT infrastructure and systems.
3. Lead the installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrading of IT hardware, software and network infrastructure.
4. Monitor and troubleshoot critical system, server, hardware, software and network-related issues.
5. Manage LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, TCP/IP, switches, routers and other network infrastructure.
6. Ensure timely data backup, system recovery and disaster recovery processes.
7. Implement and monitor IT security measures, access controls and cybersecurity practices.
8. Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, information security standards and internal controls.
9. Manage IT assets, software licenses, AMC contracts, warranties and service records.
10. Coordinate with external IT vendors and service providers for AMC, repairs, maintenance, upgrades and technical support.
11. Evaluate IT requirements and recommend suitable technology, hardware, software and infrastructure solutions.
12. Plan and support system upgrades, migrations and implementation of new technologies.
13. Identify recurring IT issues and implement preventive and corrective actions to minimize system downtime.
14. Maintain IT documentation, asset inventory, network records, system records and maintenance reports.
15. Provide technical guidance and support to employees and coordinate with various departments for IT-related requirements.
16. Lead and support IT projects and ensure timely implementation as per organizational requirements.
17. Guide and supervise junior IT team members and ensure timely resolution of IT-related issues.
18. Support the implementation and maintenance of ERP/SAP, CCTV, biometric/access control and other business applications, as required.
19. Ensure effective utilization of IT resources and support continuous improvement of IT operations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

1. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, system administration and network management.
2. Good knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routers, switches and VPN.
3. Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Good understanding of IT security, cybersecurity, data backup and disaster recovery.
5. Strong vendor management and coordination skills.
6. Good knowledge of IT asset management, AMC and software license management.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
9. Good documentation, reporting and IT project management skills.
10. Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and relevant IT management tools/software.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a relevant technical discipline. Additional certifications in Networking, System Administration, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing or IT Infrastructure will be an added advantage.

Work Experience

612 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, networking and IT operations, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
