Job summary

Nahar Colours And Coating is seeking a procurement professional to manage purchase activities, import logistics, and supplier negotiations from its Gujarat facility. You will handle budgeting for materials, coordinate with stores for stock planning, and ensure timely delivery of items while maintaining contract compliance.

The role requires experience in cost reduction, inventory control techniques, and close collaboration with finance and vendors to optimize procurement costs and delivery

Qualifications

• Experience in import logistics and vendor management.
• Ability to plan raw materials, packing, and BOMs.
• Knowledge of cost reduction and value engineering concepts.
• Familiarity with contract sign-off per policy (SLA, AMC, NDA).

Responsibilities

• Budgeting for consumables, maintenance items and misc materials.
• Conduct price comparisons and raise purchase orders with date accuracy.
• Manage import logistics and coordinate with CHA for shipments.
• Track stock levels, daily shortages, and planning alignment.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to right place and time.
• Negotiate terms with vendors and monitor compliance with contracts.

Job description

PURCHASE

Key Result Areas.

• Budgeting of, Consumables, Maintenance items and miscellaneous items.
• Price comparison and Raising purchase order for materials with proper date wise.

Schedule.

• Looking all Import Activity.
• Logistic Agreements and Tender.
• Follow up with store team for daily stock / daily shortage as per planning
• Timely rejection returns to supplier as per company norms & on proper documents.
• Responsible for the Raw Material / Packing / Bill of Material Planning and Ordering.
• Apply inventory control techniques like ABC, XYZ and VED analysis, JIT Concept &... DOL.
• Ensure 100% delivery of materials at the right time and right place.
• Preparation of Input vs. Output reconciliation of Materials.
• Negotiations of business and payment terms with vendors as per company

Policy.

• Development of alternative local sources for imported raw materials which

• Implementing systems to avoid situations like over-stocking or out-of-stock

Which cause production and financial losses?

• Follow up with finance department for timely payment of bills.
• Coordinate and follow up with vendor about the forecasting of material
• Responsible for Import Logistic activity and maintain a proper logistic report to keep.
• Record of each movement of equipment/Raw Material and follow up with CHA for.

NPD & Costing Vendor Development (Part of purchase)

• Capacity analysis of the suppliers.
• Negotiation and finalization of rates with vendors, Material Planning Study analysis for existing and new jobs for value Engineering.
• Cost reduction
• Successfully develop all major suppliers locally in and around NCR, when Carrier plant sifted from Manesar to Gujarat.
• Working exposure of managing from corporate office & managing/guiding Procurement related activity to all plants.
• All contract/agreements to be signoff as per company policies (SLA, AMC, NDA)
• Steering strategic sourcing through identification of cost-effective global vendors/suppliers for procurement with aim of reducing cost while improving quality & delivery.
• Carrying out vendor base localization/ indigenization for reducing BOM costs of materials.
• Leading the CFT for problem solving analysis & complaint closure etc.
