Job summary

Shavish Group in Maharashtra seeks an experienced procurement professional to lead supplier development, cost optimization, and material flow across production and engineering teams.

You will manage supplier quality, ECN changes, PO issuance, inventory control, and MIS reporting while supporting new product development and capacity planning. Strong communication in English, Marathi, and Hindi is expected.

• Drive cost reduction initiatives through negotiations, alternae sourcing, and value engineering, ensuring competitive procurement without compromising quality.
• Oversee implementation of Engineering Change Notes (ECN) with suppliers, ensuring alignment of processes, documentation, and timely execution of changes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely issuance of purchase orders, supplier coordination, and on-time material availability to support smooth production and delivery schedules.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, stores, and logistics teams to align material planning with operational requirements and customer commitments.
• Monitor raw material (RM) inventory levels, conduct stock evaluations, and ensure optimal balance between cost efficiency and uninterrupted supply.
• Provide accurate reporting of purchase function performance, including weekly/monthly MIS, supplier capacity utilization, and compliance with key procurement metrics
• Contribute to prototype and new product development by ensuring suppliers are prepared with required capacity, quality, and process readiness.
• Assess and align supplier capacity with forecasted business requirements to avoid bottlenecks and ensure scalability.
• Conduct periodic supplier visits and audits to monitor performance, guide improvements, and strengthen long-term partnerships.
