Job summary

Sresta Natural Bioproducts Private Limited is seeking an Assistant Manager Maintenance to safeguard the reliability and efficiency of our FMCG production facility. You will lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for production machinery and plant utilities, while aligning with safety, quality, and productivity standards.

You will drive TPM initiatives, perform root cause analyses, and manage spare parts to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in engineering with 3-6 years in FMCG/food processing/manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC controlled systems.
• Experience with TPM, preventive and predictive maintenance and lean manufacturing practices.
• Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO standards and food safety requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for production machinery and plant utilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Monitor machine performance and identify reliability improvement opportunities.
• Ensure optimal functioning of utilities such as generators and other plant systems.
• Coordinate maintenance plans with production with minimal operational impact.
• Conduct RCA for recurring failures and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain maintenance logs, records, and equipment history.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure critical spares availability.
• Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment.
• Ensure GMP, food safety and EHS compliance; adhere to company policies.
• Drive continuous improvement focused on OEE, machine efficiency and cost reduction.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for maintenance as needed.
• Prepare maintenance reports and present performance metrics to management.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for production machinery and plant utilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for reliability improvement.
• Ensure optimal functioning of utilities such as generators etc.
• Coordinate with production teams to plan maintenance schedules with minimal impact on operations.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain maintenance records, logs, and equipment history
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure critical spare availability.
• Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and machinery.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering.
• 3-6 years of maintenance experience in an FMCG, food processing, beverage, dairy, personal care, or consumer goods manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Experience with TPM, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and lean manufacturing practices.
• Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO standards, and food safety requirements is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CMMS systems.
