Job summary

Lider Consultancy Services seeks an experienced AGM Manufacturing-level leader in Tamil Nadu to drive overall manufacturing operations. The role focuses on productivity, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and customer satisfaction, leveraging Lean and Six Sigma to push continuous improvement.

You will manage manpower, machines, materials, and resources with strong PPC and capacity planning. Ideal candidate has 20+ years in manufacturing, 15+ in CNC/VMC, and a proven track record in machine shop

Qualifications

• Requires DME or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Extensive experience (20+ years) in manufacturing, with 15+ years in CNC/VMC machining operations and shop management.
• Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 requirements.
• Proven capability in PPC, capacity planning and cost/control initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall manufacturing and operations functions of the unit.
• Oversee production planning, quality, maintenance, stores, dispatch, and assembly.

Job Purpose

The AGM Manufacturing is responsible for leading and managing the overall manufacturing operations of the unit to achieve business objectives related to productivity, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and customer satisfaction. The role will drive operational excellence through effective utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and resources while implementing Lean Manufacturing practices, continuous improvement initiatives, and quality management systems.

Qualification

DME or B.E. / B.Tech Mechanical Engineering Min. Technical Requirements

• Strong knowledge of CNC & VMC machining operations and machine shop management.
• Hands-on experience in CNC/VMC Programming, process optimization, tooling, and cycle time improvement.
• Expertise in Production Planning & Control (PPC), capacity planning, and resource utilization.
• Knowledge of Assembly Operations Management and workflow optimization.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and implementation.
• Practical experience in 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Thorough knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems.
• Working knowledge of SAP B1 / SAP S/4 HANA and ERP systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications for reporting and analysis.

• Monitor machine utilization, OEE, capacity planning, and production efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949, customer-specific requirements, and quality standards.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and support internal, external, customer, and certification audits.
• Develop, mentor, and build high-performing production and operations teams.
• Establish KPIs and review operational performance regularly.
• Drive continuous improvement projects across manufacturing processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies.
• Coordinate effectively with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional departments to ensure smooth business operations.
• Support management in strategic planning, budgeting, and business growth initiatives.
