Bharat Forge in Pune District seeks a Recruitment Manager to oversee mechanical maintenance leadership in a high-precision machine shop. You will drive TPM, equipment uptime, and proactive maintenance while mentoring a 10–20 person team.

Ideal candidates hold a mechanical/ME/DTME background with extensive experience and a track record of improving maintenance processes and reliability.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E. or DME in mechanical/mechatronics with relevant specialization.
• Experience: 15+ years (B.Tech/B.E.) or 20+ years (DME).
• Role requires troubleshooting and maintenance leadership in a machine shop.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment availability of machine shop per target.
• Achieve KPI targets and business plan.
• Diagnose and rectify day-to-day breakdowns in shifts.
• Lead and mentor a team of 10-20 technicians.
• Apply TPM tools: PM, CBM, TBM and 5S practices.
• Manage mechanical spare parts within target costs.
• Develop and implement root-cause analysis and countermeasures.
• Maintain equipment history cards and comply with safety standards.

Job Purpose & Role

• Equipment availability of machine shop is to be ensured as per target.
• To achieve KPI target and business plan.

Key Activities & Expectations

• Troubleshooting knowledge of CNC turning, grinding, HMC, VMC, heat treatment equipment and CNC & conventional cylindrical grinding is must.
• Should be able to diagnose & rectify day to day breakdowns and able to lead & mentor the team of 10-20 people.
• Conversant with TPM Methodology with its tools & techniques such as PM, CBM & TBM
• Hand on experience in troubleshooting of hydraulics & pneumatics.
• Able to do the Breakdown analysis, and plan counter measure accordingly & strengthen PM activity thereafter.
• Troubleshoot the problems of Mechanical Maintenance dept. & ensure the smooth functioning of Mechanical Maintenance.
• Mechanical spare part management is mandatory requirement
• Proactively identifying areas of obstruction/breakdowns and take steps to rectify the equipment through application or troubleshooting tools
• Should have very good communication skill
• To follow planned and preventive maintenance schedule.
• To follow predictive maintenance and non-confirmative to be addressed.
• To do why-why analysis deriving root cause and kaizen for all equipment downtime
• To maintain equipment history card
• To control maintenance spare cost within target
• In-house repairing of repairable spare assembly.
• To follow TPM approach and 5S activities in concern area of work
• To develop and enhance safe working environment
• Should be responsible for breakdowns & planning and executing preventive maintenance schedules of various machines and instruments to increase operational /machine up-time and equipment reliability.

• 100% adherence to TPM implementation plan.
• 100% Compliance to PPE, LOTO & Safety interlocks.

Technical Skills required:

• Troubleshooting knowledge of CNC turning, grinding, HMC, VMC, heat treatment equipment on day-to-day basis
• Should be able to diagnose & rectify day to day breakdowns in shifts.
• Must have knowledge of drawing and Precision Machine Assembly.
• Good knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatics.
• Good knowledge of preventive/predicative /conditioning monitoring system of HMC, VMC & CNC machines.
• Special knowledge of spindle reconditioning.
• Knowledge of CNC programming and machine geometry.
• Knowledge of utilities.

Other Skills Required

• Basic knowledge of Machine tools.
• Should be able to understand and implement TPM concept.
