Job summary

Talent Hr Networks seeks an Assistant General Manager – Finance in Pune. The role leads the Accounts & Audit function, ensuring robust financial governance, compliance, and operational efficiency for a growing manufacturing entity.

The incumbent will oversee budgeting, financial reporting, audits, tax planning, and digitisation initiatives, while guiding a capable finance team and coordinating with external auditors and regulators.

Qualifications

• CA with 10–15 years’ experience in large manufacturing setups (accounting, audit, controlling)
• CS/CMA qualifications desirable
• Experience leading accounts functions and SAP exposure

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate financial statements (Ind AS) and monitor internal controls
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the organisation
• Oversee accounts receivable, cash flow, capex, payroll, and export compliance
• Support internal/external audits, tax planning, and compliance
• Manage trust accounts, risk management, and regulatory reporting

Chartered Accountant with 6 - 12 years of PQ experience in large manufacturing setups (accounting, audit, controlling).

Job Context & Challenges With increasing operational volumes and heightened reporting requirements, the role demands enhanced financial control, timely compliance, and effective leadership to support management expectations.

Key Accountabilities

• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Preparation of accurate financial statements (Ind AS), monitoring internal controls, ensuring statutory compliance, and actuarial valuations.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Contribute to annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Transactional Finance: Oversee accounts receivable, manage cash flow, capex monitoring, payroll accounting (including expats), and export compliance.
• Audit & Taxation: Support internal and external audits, tax planning, and compliance.
• Trust Accounts: Manage routine accounting, finalisation, and tax filings for trusts.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks.
• Digitisation & Automation: Drive process improvements and implement automation tools for efficiency.

Organizational Relationships

• Internal: GM Finance, AR Head, FA Head, Manpower Cost Controller

Key Competencies & Skills

Job Specification

• Qualifications: Chartered Accountant with 10–15 years’ experience in large manufacturing setups (accounting, audit, controlling).
• Desirable: CS/CMA qualifications.
• Experience: Leading accounts functions, working with Big4 audit firms, SAP environment exposure.
• Added Advantage: Internal audit across multiple locations, risk management expertise.
