Job summary

Exide Energy Solutions Limited is seeking a Billing Engineer for the Manufacturing division at Devanahalli, Bengaluru. The role focuses on billing, planning, and cost control for a forthcoming lithium-ion cell giga plant project.

Your responsibilities include BOQ extraction, RA bill drafting, subcontractor/vendor bill validation, rate analysis, material reconciliation, and budget monitoring in a high‑stake environment.

Qualifications

• BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, full time.
• 6 to 13 years of experience in billing and planning for large projects.
• Green Field Project Set Up experience is required.

Responsibilities

• BOQ & Quantity Take-offs: review drawings to extract quantities and prepare BOQ.
• RA Bill Preparation: draft and process monthly RA bills and final bills with vendors/consultants.
• Subcontractor/Vendor Billing: verify, certify and process bills per approved work orders.
• Rate Analysis & Variations: identify extra items and cost variations for change orders.
• Material Reconciliation: periodic reconciliation for major MEP materials.
• Cost Tracking & Audits: monitor budget usage and support commercial audits.

Exide Energy Solutions Limited (EESL) is one of the fastest growing companies who has vision to solve social issues regarding energy, environment, resource, etc with producing lithium-ion battery products. Exide Energy Solutions Ltd is setting up India’s first Giga plant to manufacture Lithium Ion Cells in Bengaluru. Exide Energy Solutions Limited is looking for Billing and Planning in the Manufacturing organisation to achieve company’s goal at the Devanahalli, Bangalore Location.

Eligibility:

This position is open only to Bachelor's graduates in Mechanical Engineering. Candidates with a Diploma or qualifications in other disciplines are not eligible to apply.

Key Responsibilities for Billing Engineer:

• BOQ & Quantity Take-offs: Review architectural and MEP & Civil drawings (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, civil) to extract precise quantities and prepare Bill of Quantities.
• RA Bill Preparation: Draft and process monthly Running Account (RA) bills, final bills, and joint measurements with Vendor and consultants/contract.
• Subcontractor/Vendor Billing: Verify, certify, and process back-to-back contractor and MEP vendor bills as per approved work orders.
• Rate Analysis & Variations: Identify extra items, analyze deviations, and prepare documentation for change orders or cost variations.
• Material Reconciliation: Conduct periodic reconciliation statements for major MEP materials (pipes, cables, fittings, equipment).
• Cost Tracking & Audits: Monitor project budget utilization and support internal or external commercial audits.

Essential Skills to List

• Technical Knowledge: MEP systems understanding (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting), contract terms, and valuation.
• Software Proficiency: MS Excel (Advanced), AutoCAD, ERP / SAP systems (Project Systems or MM modules).
• Core Competencies: Quantity surveying, rate analysis, joint measurements, and reconciliation.

Qualifications & Experience:

• BE / B.Tech - Mechanical Engineering Graduate, Full time. Exp 6 to 13 years
• Must have Green Field Project Set Up experience.
• Experience in PMC like M/s JLL, M/s Cushman, M/s Knight frank etc will be required.
