You will coordinate with engineering, project, and finance teams to drive timely material purchases of Fire & Safety items and Process Safety items. The role requires a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with extensive supplier development, negotiation, and analytics. Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel, and PowerPoint is essential to prepare purchasing reports and support cost

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech) required.
• 68 years of relevant experience in Fire & Safety Items, Process Safety items procurement for API / Formulation industries.
• Preferably in Pharma, API, or Formulation manufacturing sector.
• Strong experience in supplier selection, vendor evaluation, and price negotiation.
• Good knowledge of new supplier development, source creation, and supplier identification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate departmental activities and maintain strong inter-departmental relationships.
• Work closely with the Project Department to meet project priorities and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with the Finance Department to ensure timely supplier payments.
• Handle procurement activities for engineering and Fire & Safety Items, Process Safety items
• Prepare and present weekly, monthly purchase reports, and annual procurement presentations.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely material delivery as per project requirements.
• Support cost optimization through effective negotiation and strategic sourcing.
