Job summary

Eris in Madhya Pradesh, India, is seeking a proactive procurement professional to manage end-to-end procurement and planning for biosimilar and injectable manufacturing. • Graduate or postgraduate in Supply Chain, Procurement, Commerce, Management or related field.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred, especially Biosimilar/Injectable manufacturing.
• Strong communication, negotiation, vendor management and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Procurement & Planning: Process PRs and POs; ensure timely procurement and availability of materials.
• Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers; monitor quality, cost, delivery and service; coordinate supplier audits.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure procurement activities comply with GMP, GDP, SOPs and regulatory requirements; maintain procurement records.
• Cost Management & Coordination: Conduct quotations, negotiate terms, identify cost-saving opportunities; coordinate with QA/QC, Stores, Production, Planning, Finance, Engineering and others for smooth procurement operations.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Procurement & Planning

Process Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved procedures.

Ensure timely procurement and availability of materials.

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Stores, Planning, and Production.

Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery and resolve supply-related issues.

• Vendor Management

Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers in coordination with QA.

Monitor vendor performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.

Coordinate vendor qualification and supplier audits.

• Compliance & Documentation

Ensure procurement activities comply with GMP, GDP, company SOPs, and regulatory requirements.

Maintain quotations, comparative statements, POs, supplier records, and other procurement documents.

• Cost Management

Conduct quotation comparisons and commercial negotiations with suppliers.

Identify opportunities for cost reduction and favorable payment terms.

Coordination

Coordinate with QA/QC, Stores, Production, Planning, Finance, Engineering, and other departments for smooth procurement operations.

Preferred candidate profile
