Job summary

KSB in India seeks an experienced Procurement Specialist for direct materials and traded products. You will source cost-effectively, manage commodity procurement, and develop supplier contracts to secure favorable terms.

Role involves SAP-MM master data maintenance, supplier evaluation, and strategic sourcing to support production and growth.

You will collaborate with internal teams, drive cost reduction programs, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• BE-Mechanical and MBA in Materials Management are required.
• Experience in Engineering Industry is preferred.
• 8-10 Years for BE & 10-12 yrs for DME candidates.

Responsibilities

• Procurement of direct materials and traded products ensuring cost-effectiveness sourcing and uninterrupted supply.
• Sourcing and procurement of commodities including carbon brushes, copper winding wires, cables, stampings, bars, pipes, bought out pumps, motors, controllers, and other standard bought-out components.
• Develop and manage supplier contracts, framework agreements, and commercial negotiations to ensure favourable terms and compliance.
• Maintain SAP MM master through MDM.
• Identify, evaluate, audit, qualify, and develop suppliers to strengthen the supply base and support business growth.
• Drive supplier performance improvement initiatives focused on quality, PPM reduction, and on-time delivery.
• Support cost optimization through strategic sourcing, value analysis, supplier negotiations, and cost reduction programs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to align procurement strategies with organizational objectives.
• Prepare detailed cost analyses and cost breakups for new business awarding, initial price settlements, and periodic price revisions.
• Foster long-term supplier relationships while ensuring adherence to quality, delivery, and commercial expectations.

Preferred candidate profile

Requirement profile:

BE- Mechanical, MBA in Materials Management

Experience in Engineering Industry is preferred.

8-10 Years for BE & 10 -12 yrs for DME candidates
