Job summary

HDFC ERGO General Insurance in Agartala invites applications for the role of Assistant Agency Manager. The position is permanent and based at our branch in Agartala, Tripura.

The candidate will recruit and manage agency personnel, drive premium targets, and coordinate with underwriting, branch operations, claims and finance teams to ensure timely policy issuance and agent commissions. The ideal candidate should have 1–4 years of experience, be familiar with our products and sales processes, and

Qualifications

• Identifies and motivates potential candidates to enroll for becoming agents.
• Activates certified agents through mobilization of minimum premium within the stipulated time.
• Ensure familiarization with company products, policies and sales processes by agents.
• Identifies, communicates and agrees on premium targets with agents across various classes of business.
• Maintains low dormancy ratio of active vs total agents.
• Maximizes mobilization via regular follow-ups and strengthens relationships with agents.
• Updates agents on new products and underwriting policies.
• Coordinates with underwriting, branch operations, claims and finance teams for timely policy issuance and agent commissions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and enroll agents and ensure their onboarding.
• Drive activation of certified agents by achieving minimum premium targets.
• Coach agents on product knowledge, policies, and sales processes.
