Job summary

Fortune Personnel Services in Punjab seeks an Assembly Supervisor/Engineer to lead the cylinder assembly line, coordinating with operators, stores, maintenance and quality to meet daily production targets with quality and safety adherence.

You will drive OEE, allocate manpower, ensure adherence to specifications, coordinate scheduling, and manage material readiness and downtime actions while mentoring staff and sustaining 5S across the line.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising an assembly line and achieving production targets.

Responsibilities

• Ensure assembly line OEE and production targets are met as per plan.
• Manpower allocation and optimisation of manpower.
• Ensuring assemblies meet specifications and work instructions.
• Coordinate with planning for production scheduling.
• Monitor PM check sheet status and ensure compliance.
• Provide Production Order (PO) and Production Order Bill (POB) to material handler for material issuance.
• Ensure material availability before setup and verify fixture readiness.
• Identify machine or fixture issues and coordinate with concerned departments to avoid line stoppages.
• First Piece Approval for setup changes on the assembly line.
• Follow up with material handler for timely delivery of FG and subcontracting materials.
• Maintain 5S standards across assembly areas.
• Take real time actions for downtime or rejection.
• Conduct training for new employees and skill enhancement training for existing team members.
• Verify daily rework and rejection sheet status and initiate corrective actions.
• Verify Daily booking status.
• Daily monitoring of component quality and improvements online.
• Maintain check sheets and compliance records.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and PPE usage.
• Conduct safety training and awareness sessions.

1.0: PURPOSE

Manage production, deal with Operators, stores, maintenance and quality department to achieve daily production targets with quality requirements, safety adherence and delivery as per company standards and plan.

2.0: RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOBS

• Responsible for assembly line OEE and Ensuring production targets are achieved as per plan
• Manpower allocation and proper utilization of manpower
• Ensuring that products are assembled as per specifications and work instructions.
• Coordinate with planning team for production scheduling.
• Monitor daily Preventive Maintenance (PM) check sheet status and ensure compliance.
• Provide Production Order (PO) and Production Order Bill (POB) to material handler for material issuance from stores.
• Ensure assembly material availability before setup and verify fixture readiness.
• Identify machine or fixture issues and coordinate with concerned departments to avoid line stoppages.
