Area Manager – Institutional Sales

Job summary

Ashirvad by aliaxis in Mumbai is seeking a seasoned sales leader to drive market expansion across defined geographic areas. You will plan and deploy sales teams, identify opportunities, and convert leads into integrated solutions for customers including investors, engineers and contractors.

The role requires 8+ years in sales/marketing, strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, and excellent proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree.
• Years/type of experience: 8+ years in sales and marketing roles.
• Skills/Knowledge: Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information.
• Ability to motivate and lead the sales team.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, plus a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing sales of Ashirvad’s products in the defined geographic area and ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through planning, deployment and management of sales personnel.
• Identify objectives, strategies and action plans to maximize short- and long-term sales & earnings and promote Ashirvad’s presence in the assigned area.
• Identifies sales opportunities for selling full solutions by convincing all stakeholders in the decision chain (investors, engineers/ architects, contractors/ installers).
• Identifies project leads and converts the opportunity pipeline into a solution sell integrating one or several systems.
• When sold through distribution, liaises with the distribution sales team to support our partner convert the opportunity into a sell.
• Participates, negotiates and wins tenders based on early specification of our products, influencing the decision chain, building the internal logistic capabilities for efficient fulfilment.
• Builds and maintains effective long-term relationships and a high level of satisfaction with key senior-level decision makers and influencers at an assigned group of customer accounts that may include major strategic customers within a geographic or industry focus.
• Accountable for the results of medium-sized routine support or production operations teams.
• Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of a support, production or operations team.
• Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors.
• Trains team members and provides input to employee performance evaluations.
