Job summary

VICM Consultants India Pvt Ltd is seeking an Architect to lead residential and office fit-out development in Chennai and Bangalore. You will manage space planning, prepare drawings from concept to GFC, and coordinate with clients and a cross-discipline team to deliver high-quality design solutions.

The role involves site visits, presentations, material selections, and ensuring compliance with codes and timelines.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in residential and office fit-out development.
• Experience coordinating with interior designers, MEP and structural consultants.

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural designs and space planning layouts for residential and office fit-out projects.
• Prepare and review concept designs, schematic designs, detailed drawings, working drawings and GFC drawings.
• Coordinate with clients to understand their design requirements, functional needs, budgets and timelines.
• Prepare design presentations, material selections, mood boards and finish schedules.
• Coordinate with interior designers, MEP consultants, structural consultants, contractors and vendors.
• Review and coordinate architectural drawings with site execution requirements.
• Conduct site visits and monitor execution to ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings and design specifications.
• Resolve design-related and site coordination issues during project execution.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions and samples for compliance with approved designs.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for timely execution and completion of works.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, safety requirements and project standards.
• Support preparation of BOQs, specifications and tender documentation, where required.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of design deliverables.
• Manage design changes and revisions based on client and project requirements.
• Ensure coordination between architectural, interior, civil and MEP works for smooth project delivery.
