Job summary

DNJ Interiors is seeking a Project Architect for commercial interior fit-out projects in Hyderabad. The role focuses on execution, coordinating with clients, consultants, MEP teams and subcontractors to ensure drawings are translated into quality on-site results.

You will review architectural, interior, structural and MEP drawings, prepare shop drawings, ensure compliance with specs, and manage documentation from plan to close-out.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of commercial interior fit-out execution.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, interior, structural and MEP drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and creating shop/as-built drawings.
• Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, vendors and subcontractors.
• Diligent documentation, drawing revisions and technical QA/QC checks.

Responsibilities

Project Architect Commercial Interior Fit-Out

Industry: Corporate Commercial Interior Fit-Out / Design & Build

About the Role

We are looking for a technically strong and execution-oriented Project Architect to join our projects team and drive the successful execution of corporate commercial interior fit-out projects. should have strong hands-on experience in interior execution, technical coordination, shop drawings, site monitoring, client/consultant coordination and project documentation.

This is an execution-focused role for a professional who can independently understand drawings, identify site-level technical issues, coordinate with stakeholders and ensure quality execution as per approved drawings and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Technical Coordination

• Review and interpret architectural, interior, structural and MEP drawings before execution.
• Study BOQs, specifications and contract documents to understand project requirements.
• Prepare and review shop drawings, construction details and coordination drawings.
• Ensure site execution is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, MEP teams, vendors and subcontractors.
• Identify drawing discrepancies, clashes and site constraints and coordinate for timely resolution.
• Provide technical guidance and execution support to site teams.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor workmanship, dimensions and execution quality.

Drawing & Documentation

• Prepare, revise and maintain shop drawings and coordination drawings using AutoCAD.
• Maintain proper drawing revision and approval records.
• Prepare accurate As-Built Drawings based on actual site execution.
• Track RFIs, drawing revisions, approvals, material submissions and technical correspondence.
• Coordinate material/sample submissions and approvals.

Client & Consultant Coordination

• Act as the technical coordination point between the company, client, architects, consultants and PMC teams.
• Attend technical meetings, site meetings and coordination discussions.
• Resolve technical and execution-related queries raised by clients and consultants.
• Follow up for timely approvals of drawings, materials, mock-ups and site changes.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients and consultants.

Site Quality & Project Close-Out

• Monitor architectural and interior works including partitions, ceilings, flooring, wall finishes, joinery, glass, doors and other interior finishes.
• Identify deviations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Support QA/QC inspections and snag rectification.
• Minimize rework through proper technical coordination and execution monitoring.
• Coordinate final snag clearance and project handover.
• Ensure completion of As-Built drawings and project close-out documentation.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of commercial interior fit-out execution
• Excellent understanding of architectural and interior construction details
• Ability to read and interpret Architectural, Interior, Structural and MEP drawings
• Strong AutoCAD skills
• Experience in preparing shop drawings and As-Built drawings
• Good knowledge of interior materials, finishes and construction methodologies
• Strong client, consultant and subcontractor coordination skills
• Good problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• High level of ownership, accountability and attention to detail

Qualification

• B.Arch
• 3-6 years of relevant experience in commercial/corporate interior fit-out
• Experience in office interiors, corporate workplaces or Design & Build projects preferred.
