Competenze

Role Description

The Architect role at Akbar Maredia Designs is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Architect will be responsible for developing architectural concepts, preparing detailed drawings and coordinating design documentation from schematic design through construction. Daily tasks include collaborating with internal teams and external consultants, reviewing site conditions, ensuring designs align with local building codes and regulations, and participating in client meetings to understand requirements and present design solutions. The role involves overseeing aspects of project execution, supporting tender and construction documentation, and assisting with quality control during the build phase to ensure design integrity.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Architecture and Architectural Design, including concept development, space planning, and preparation of detailed drawings.
• Candidates should possess relevant skills in Project Management, including coordination with stakeholders, timeline management, and adherence to budget and quality standards.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with Software Development and Integration as they relate to architectural workflows, such as using design and collaboration tools, BIM platforms, and integrated project systems.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D visualization tools) and strong technical understanding of building systems and materials.
• Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution and registration or eligibility for registration with the Council of Architecture (India) is preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site with multidisciplinary teams.
• Prior experience working on residential or commercial projects in urban environments, especially in Mumbai or similar contexts, will be an advantage.
