Job summary

Kshema General Insurance Limited in Secunderabad is hiring an Application Support Engineer to provide day-to-day support and maintenance for critical business applications. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s in CS/IT (or related field), 4+ years in application support, ITIL familiarity, and hands-on SQL with Python or PowerShell.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 4+ years in application support or similar IT role.
• Working knowledge of ITIL or ITSM practices.
• Hands-on with SQL and at least one scripting language (Python/PowerShell).
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience with monitoring tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigate issues using logs, DB queries, API traces, and system metrics
• Provide workarounds and identify bugs for escalation
• Perform minor data fixes and configuration updates
• Troubleshoot integrations and APIs
• Escalate complex issues to L3/vendors with clear documentation
• Monitor applications, handle alerts, and perform basic RCAs
• Support testing and deployment of patches/minor releases
