Job summary

Agilisium is seeking an Application Support engineer in Chennai to join our operations support team. The role blends L1/L2 support, proactive monitoring, and advanced troubleshooting across frontend and backend layers (React.js, FastAPI).

You will coordinate with L3, Engineering, and DevOps to drive timely resolutions. You will analyze logs and metrics, resolve UI bugs and API issues, and contribute minor feature enhancements.

Qualifications

• Experience with React.js and FastAPI in production environments.
• Proactive monitoring and log analysis to troubleshoot production issues.
• Experience with AWS-based databases such as Redshift and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Grafana or similar monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as first and second line of support (L1/L2) for application issues
• Perform proactive monitoring using Grafana, CloudWatch, and APM dashboards
• Analyze logs, metrics, and system behavior to troubleshoot production issues
• Debug frontend and backend code (React.js, FastAPI) to resolve UI/API failures
• Collaborate with L3, Engineering, and DevOps for triaging and hotfix testing
• Implement minor bug fixes and low-impact UI/API enhancements
• Maintain documentation of fixes and RCA learnings for knowledge base

About the Role

We are looking for a capable and versatile Application Support engineers to join our operations support team. This role involves a combination of L1 support, proactive monitoring, advanced troubleshooting, and implementing minor enhancements across both frontend and backend layers. They will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, managing communications with professionalism while coordinating internally with L3, Engineering, and DevOps teams to drive timely and effective resolution. The role also requires a strong technical foundation to analyze application behavior, identify recurring issues, and contribute to development for incremental feature improvements or UI/UX refinements.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the first and second line of support for application-related issues (L1)
• Perform proactive monitoring using tools such as Grafana, CloudWatch, and APM dashboards
• Analyze logs, metrics, and system behaviors to troubleshoot production issues and identify root causes
• Debug frontend and backend code (React.js, FastAPI) to resolve UI bugs, API failures, and data inconsistencies
• Collaborate with internal teams (L3, Engineering, DevOps) for deeper triaging, hotfix testing, and escalation
• Implement minor bug fixes and low-impact feature enhancements, such as UI form changes, API data formatting, or display logic updates
• Maintain clear documentation of fixes and RCA learnings for knowledge base and process improvement
• Communicate effectively with c-suite & senior stakeholders (VP, SVP, EVP) while managing timelines and expectations

Must-Have Skills

• Strong proficiency in React.js
• Experience with FastAPI
• Working knowledge of databases supported on AWS (e.g., Redshift, Dremio, PostgreSQL)
• Hands-on experience with application monitoring tools like Grafana

Good-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to Flutter
• Understanding of Data Pipelines and tools like Apache Airflow (DAGs)
