Japanese Tool Manufacturer in Pune/Chakan, Maharashtra, seeks an Application Engineer to support CNC machine tool operations across India. The role involves installation, demonstrations, troubleshooting, and after-sales service, with extensive travel across multiple states.
Candidates should have a diploma or degree in mechanical/production/machining engineering and 3–5 years of experience in machine tools, with hands-on setup, maintenance, and commissioning skills.
The Application Engineer role focuses on supporting CNC machine tool operations across India through application engineering, machine installation, troubleshooting, and after-sales service. Based in the Pune/Chakan area, the position combines technical support, customer engagement, machine demonstrations, and distributor coordination to ensure successful machine performance and customer satisfaction.
Provide application engineering and technical service support for CNC machine tools.
Operate machines and demonstrate machining processes for customers and distributors.
Perform troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and breakdown support.
Attend machine installation, commissioning, alignment, testing, and start-up activities at customer sites.
Support process optimisation and machining applications to improve customer productivity.
Manage inventory machines stationed at the distributor location, including basic inventory control and maintenance planning.
Travel extensively across India to support customers in Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune region, Gujarat, Delhi NCR, and other industrial locations.
Accompany distributor sales teams during customer visits and provide technical consultations, product demonstrations, and pre-sales support.
Prepare service reports, installation records, and technical documentation.
Coordinate with headquarters in Japan and overseas teams regarding technical issues, training, and customer requirements.
Participate in technical training programmes overseas and apply learned knowledge within the Indian market.
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Machining Technology, or a related discipline.
3 to 5 years of experience as a machine tool operator, CNC machining technician, application engineer, or service engineer.
Hands-on experience in machining operations, machine set-up, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of CNC machine tools.
Experience supporting machine installations and commissioning activities.
Ability to provide technical support, training, demonstrations, and customer consultation.
Strong problem-solving and technical diagnostic skills.
Experience working in a Japanese business environment
Working days: Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00
