Job summary

Fronius is seeking a Field Application Engineer to provide first-line technical support for welding applications, install and update Fronius software, and conduct welding demonstrations and training at client sites and events. You will coordinate test welds, assist with system commissioning, and help prepare offers for complex systems while sharing market feedback with the team.

The role requires travel to client locations, flexibility in tasks, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in a metalworking field such as pipeline construction, steel engineering, machine construction or shipbuilding.
• Sales and communication technology skills.
• Strong presentation abilities for delivering demonstrations and trainings.
• Basic to advanced IT skills for software installation and configurations.
• Valid driving license for travel to clients and events.
• Customer-oriented attitude with service mindset.
• Willingness to undertake further training to stay up-to-date.
• Team player with ability to share knowledge with colleagues.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and events.
• Flexibility in working hours and tasks to suit customer needs.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

• Representing Fronius at trade fairs and national events

• 1st level application technical support for end clients and dealers in a specific area: Providing application technical advice
• Installing and updating Fronius software
• Organizing and carrying out welding demonstrations and training
• Organizing, carrying out and documenting test welds
• Providing services such as the commissioning of welding systems, expert training, production start-up, ... Creating application specific welding parameters
• Participating in trade fairs and providing support at national events
• Passing on feedback from the market and customers
• Assisting with system configurations when preparing offers for complex systems
• Assisting with the storage of demonstration and rental equipment
