Job summary

Caldic APAC is seeking an Application Development Executive (Coating) to promote additives in the coatings and paints sector from our R&D lab in Navi Mumbai. The role requires collaboration with customers, travel to plants for trials, and delivering technical and sales discussions with multiple stakeholders.

The candidate should have 3–4 years of relevant experience, a degree in Paint & coatings or Chemistry, and solid knowledge of lab SOPs and formulation development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in Paint & coating, Chemical degree required.
• Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in handling relevant profile.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiar with guideline formulations & lab SOPs of Paint & Coating Industry.
• Formulation and product development for all kinds of Coating & Paint products.

Responsibilities

• Promote additives used in Coatings & Paint industries in R&D lab.
• Travel to customers' plant/lab to conduct trials.
• Conduct technical and sales discussions at various levels.
• Map coating & paint products market for business development.
• Be familiar with lab instruments & equipment used in coating industry.
• Conduct lab trials and product demonstrations at customers' end with suppliers.
• Track ongoing projects and provide technical assistance; update customers on new products.
• Build and manage relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities

• The candidate will work with Coatings & Paint companies in R&D lab in order to promote addidtives used in Coating & Paint Industries (Wetting & Dispersing agents, defoarmers, Wax emulsions, Surface additives, rheological additives, biocides, pigments)
• Based on the customers need candidate needs to travel to customer’s plant/lab to conduct lab/plant trials.
• To conduct technical and sales discussion at various levels.
• To map Coating & paint products market for business development.
• Should be familiar with lab instruments & equipment’s used in Coating industry.
• Conduct lab trials, demonstration of products at customers end with suppliers
• Job will include regular track of ongoing projects, providing technical assistance as and when required. Updating customers with new product line, maintaining and closing the accounts.
• Builds and manages relationships with customers.

Job Requirements

• Should be technically well versed with guideline formulations & lab activities , standard operation procedures of the Paint & Coating Industry .
• Should be well versed with formulation and product development for all kinds of Coating & Paint products.
• Builds and sustains professional working relationships.
• Works and communicate well with managers, executives and all members of the Company. Displays good listening skills, Comprehension and approachable. Encourages an open exchange thoughts and ideas.
