Job summary

UPL is seeking a logistics professional to manage export shipments end-to-end, coordinating across multiple Indian plants and ports. The role requires strong knowledge of Incoterms, cargo readiness, and liaising with shippers and forwarding agents to ensure timely dispatch and accurate documentation.

Experience with hazardous cargo handling and SAP-based shipment tracking will be essential for timely updates to customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and executing export shipments end-to-end.
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms and international trade terms.
• Ability to coordinate logistics across multiple plants and ports.
• Familiarity with SAP for shipment tracking and updates.
• Experience handling hazardous cargo shipments and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan export shipments per Incoterms and customer orders from cargo readiness to bill of lading release.
• Aim to meet monthly export dispatch targets from multiple Indian plants.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, forwarders, CHAs, and agents for bookings and gate-in dates.
• Update shipment status in SAP and communicate with customer service on delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with planners, dispatch, and QC teams to ensure smooth shipments.

Job description

1. Knowledge of Exim Policy, Incoterms, Payment Terms, UCP Rules

2. Conversant with Customs Rules and regulation for import & export

3. knowledge of the International Logistic & transportation industry.

4. Conversant with handling of hazardous cargo shipment

5. Complete knowledge of export-import shipment process ( Air, rail, Ocean)

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for complete export shipment planning process as per incoterms and customer orders – right from cargo readiness to shipment and b/l release - from multiple loading ports in India
• Achieving Monthly export dispatch targets – from multiple manufacturing plants in India
• Follow up - with shipping companies and forwarding agents for bookings
• Follow up - with forwarding agent and CHA's for timely gate in the port and advance loading list send to shipping co.
• Responsible for timely updating of shipment status in SAP.
• Coordination with Customer service teams for shipment updating to customers
• Coordination with planners , dispatch teams, QC teams at plants.
• Coordination with CHAs, transporters, freight forwarders, shipping lines, third party inspection agencies.
• Resolution of issues related to shipments with customs, shipping lines, CFS, other allied agencies.
• Ensure export/import laws and regulations in the importing ports at respective destination countries are adhered to.
• Responsible for KPIs related to timely delivery and shipment costs.
• Provide advance container volume forecast to shipping lines, CHAS, Transporters.
