Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for New Product Development in EGS commodity parts. You will drive APQP, CDMM DE roles and PPAP readiness, coordinating with cross-functional teams in the automotive sector.

The role emphasizes hands-on development of rubber molded parts, seals, and mounting components, plus PFMEA, Control Plan, GD&T, and capacity planning to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• BE Mechanical degree is mandatory.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in EGS/automotive sourcing and development.
• Knowledge of PPAP, APQP, SPC and CMVR regulations is required.

Responsibilities

• New Product Development through APQP / CDMM DE role.
• Develop EGS commodity parts such as rubber molded parts, seals, glass, mounts, sealants, TIM.
• Conduct manufacturing feasibility studies and FTG planning/buy off.
• Ensure part development per project requirements and adhere to MEPDS process (Proto, Tooled up, PPAP).
• Establish Run at rate / capacity as per volume projections and sign off.
• Experience with PFMEA, Control Plan, quality tools, problem solving techniques, GD&T.

• 1) New Product Development through APQP , CDMM DE Role
• 2) Hands on experience of developing EGS commodity Parts such as Rubber Molded parts, Seals , Glass , Mounts,Sealants,TIM,
• 3) Conducting Manufacturing Feasibility study,FTG planing , FTG buy off
• 4) Ensuring Part development as per Project requirements and adhering to MEPDS process e,g Proto,Tooled up , PPAP Approved
• 5) Establishment of Run at rate / Capacity as per volume Projections and capacity sign off

Knowledge & Skills

• 1) Sound Knowledge of Development and Sourcing of EGS commodity parts such as Rubber ,Seals etc .
• 2) Expert in Non metal RM and Manufacturing Process like Injection and compression rubber moulding , Seal Extrusion , Thermal interface materails.
