Job summary

Ecomak in Bavdhan, Pune invites an experienced Manager Design to lead the Design & Engineering function for the Process Equipment Division. The role demands hands-on design of pressure vessels, heat exchangers and other process equipment, with familiarity of ASME VIII and related codes.

You will review specifications, prepare and review design calculations and drawings, ensure manufacturing feasibility, and guide the design team to deliver compliant, safe, and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on design experience in pressure vessels, heat exchangers and process equipment.
• Familiar with applicable design codes and engineering standards.
• Experience leading design and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering activities for pressure vessels, heat exchangers and process equipment.
• Review customer specifications, RFQs, and technical requirements.
• Prepare/review design calculations, GA drawings and fabrication drawings.
• Ensure compliance with ASME Section VIII, TEMA and customer-specific requirements.
• Coordinate with Sales, Proposal, Production, Quality and Project Planning teams.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, safety and performance.
• Review and approve engineering drawings and documentation.
• Resolve design-related manufacturing and customer issues.
• Guide and develop the design engineering team.

The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in the design of pressure vessels, heat exchangers and other process equipment and should be familiar with applicable design codes and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering activities for pressure vessels, heat exchangers and process equipment.
• Review customer specifications, RFQs, technical requirements and applicable codes.
• Prepare/review design calculations, GA drawings and fabrication drawings.
• Ensure compliance with ASME Section VIII, TEMA and customer-specific requirements.
• Working knowledge of ASME U Stamp requirements.
