Job summary

Valtech is looking for an AEM Developer / Senior Developer in India to build advanced Adobe Experience Manager solutions and modern, headless experiences. You will develop AEM components, templates and integrations with Java, OSGi and Sling Models on AEM 6.5 and AEMaaCS, while delivering GraphQL/REST based frontends with React.

Qualifications

• Experience with EDS (block development) and Universal Editor.

• Hands-on AEM 6.5 and AEMaaCS development (Sites, Assets, Dynamic Media, Content Fragments).
• Strong Java, OSGi, Sling Models, Sling, JCR, and Maven; GraphQL and REST API design/consumption.
• Knowledge of Adobe App Builder, Adobe I/O, and AEM Mesh/App Mesh.
• CI/CD (Cloud Manager, Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps) and cloud fundamentals.
• Dispatcher, caching, and CDN concepts.
• Unit and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito, AEM Mocks, Jest/Cypress).
• Clear communication and collaborative Agile working.
• Ownership, problem-solving and coaching others.

Responsibilities

• Develop AEM components, templates, services, and integrations using Java, OSGi, and Sling Models on AEM 6.5 and AEMaaCS.
• Implement headless solutions using Content Fragments, GraphQL, and REST APIs; build React frontends.
• Develop serverless extensions and integrations with Adobe App Builder and Adobe I/O; contribute to AEM Mesh/App Mesh.
• Configure and manage AEM Sites, Assets, and Dynamic Media (renditions, presets, delivery).
• Support migrations: refactor legacy code for Cloud Service compatibility and validate output.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Manager and Git-based workflows); write tests.
• Participate in design discussions and peer code reviews; mentor junior developers.
• Troubleshoot defects and performance issues; work with QA, architects and the Lead.
• Document technical designs, component behaviour, and runbooks.

Must have qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:

• Experience with EDS (block development, performance tuning) and Universal Editor
• Experience with EDS (block development, performance tuning) and Universal Editor.
• Hands-on AEM 6.5 and AEMaaCS development (Sites, Assets, Dynamic Media, Content Fragments).
• Strong Java, OSGi, Sling Models, Sling, JCR, and Maven. GraphQL and REST API design and consumption.
• Working knowledge of Adobe App Builder, Adobe I/O, and AEM Mesh/App Mesh.
• CI/CD (Cloud Manager, Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps) and cloud fundamentals.
• Solid understanding of Dispatcher, caching, and CDN concepts.
• Unit and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito, AEM Mocks, Jest/Cypress or similar).
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach in Agile teams.
• Ownership, problem-solving, and willingness to coach others.

Nice to have qualifications

• Adobe certifications (AEM Sites Developer, Cloud Manager).
• Experience with cloud migration or legacy-to-EDS modernization.
• Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud integrations.
• Familiarity with accessibility (WCAG), SEO, and security best practices.
• Interest in AI-assisted development tooling.
