Valtech in Bangalore seeks an experienced SAP Commerce Cloud Developer/Consultant to design, develop, and maintain e-commerce platforms using SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and integration partners to deliver scalable B2B/B2C solutions.

You will work on headless storefronts via Spartacus, Impex scripts, and complex integrations, embracing Agile practices. Strong Java/Spring/Hibernate and SAP Commerce expertise required for impactful delivery.

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years of hands-on SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) development and implementation.
• Strong proficiency in Java (J2EE), Spring, Hibernate; OO design.
• Deep understanding of SAP Commerce data models, extension framework, Impex, FlexibleSearch, Backoffice, WCMS.
• Experience with SAP Commerce B2B/B2C accelerators and headless frontend (Spartacus).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP, OData; integration middleware (SAP CPI/CPI).
• Strong SQL skills; relational databases (HANA/MySQL/Oracle).
• Agile/Scrum experience in consulting environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and extend SAP Commerce Cloud applications using Java, Spring, and SAP extensions.
• Build headless storefronts with Spartacus and integrate via REST/OData APIs.
• Write and maintain Impex scripts and Backoffice configurations; perform data/configuration tasks.
• Design and implement integrations between SAP Commerce Cloud and backend systems (S4/HANA, ERP, CPI, OMS, PIM).
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot in SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2) environments.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies with Product Owners, BAs, and QA to translate requirements into solutions.
• Conduct peer code reviews, write unit tests, ensure SAP best practices and quality.
• Provide L3 support, performance tuning, and production issue troubleshooting.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Commerce Cloud Developer/Consultant to join our digital team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining our e-commerce platforms using SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2). You will work closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and integration partners to deliver scalable, high-performance B2B/B2C commerce solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Customization: Develop, customize, and extend SAP Commerce Cloud applications using Java, Spring Framework, and SAP-specific extensions.

Headless Commerce: Build and maintain headless storefronts using Spartacus (Angular/TypeScript) and integrate them via REST/OData APIs.

Data & Configuration: Write and maintain complex Impex scripts,FlexibleSearchqueries, and manage Backoffice configurations.

Integrations: Design and implement integrations between SAP Commerce Cloud and backend systems (SAP S/4HANA, SAP ERP, SAP CI/CPI, OMS, Payment Gateways, PIM).

Cloud Management: Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications in the SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2) environment using the MerchantCenter/ Cloud Portal and HAC.

Agile Collaboration: Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Code Quality: Conduct peer code reviews, write unit tests, and ensure adherence to SAP best practices and coding standards.

Support & Optimization: Provide L3 support, perform performance tuning, and troubleshoot complex production issues.

Required Qualifications:

Experience: [4-6+] years of hands-on experience in SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) development and implementation.

Core Tech Stack: Strong proficiency in Java (J2EE), Spring Framework, Hibernate, and object-oriented design.

SAP Commerce Expertise: Deep understanding of SAP Commerce data models, extension framework, Impex,FlexibleSearch, Backoffice, and WCMS (SmartEdit).

Accelerators: Experience working with SAP Commerce B2B and/or B2C Accelerators.

Frontend / Headless: Solid experience with Spartacus (Angular) or traditional SAP Commerce frontend (JSP/Tag files, AngularJS).

Integration Skills: Experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP, OData, and integration middleware (SAP Cloud Integration / CPI is a strong plus).

Database: Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., SAP HANA, MySQL, Oracle).

Methodology: Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

Certifications: SAP Certified Development Professional – SAP Commerce Cloud Developer.

Ecosystem Knowledge: Familiarity with the broader SAP Customer Experience (CX) suite, including SAP CPQ, SAPEmarsys, or SAP Service Cloud.

CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and Cloud Foundry.

Domain Experience: Previous experience in the [Retail / Manufacturing / Wholesale / etc.] industry.
