Job summary

Valtech is seeking an AI Lead Developer to push the boundaries of experience innovation. You will bridge frontend and backend disciplines, delivering AI-driven user interfaces and scalable AI services using FastAPI and React/Next.js.

You will work with embeddings, vector databases, and RAG-based solutions, while handling PostgreSQL data and enterprise storage. A strong business-value mindset and collaboration across teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with AI workflows such as RAG, agent-based systems and scalable AI pipelines.
• Exposure to private or offline AI setups, including local LLM deployments.
• Strong backend experience using Python with FastAPI for AI services and APIs.
• Frontend exposure using ReactJS/Next.js for AI-driven user interfaces.
• Good understanding of PostgreSQL and object storage (Azure Blob, Data Lake, MinIO).
• Experience building KPIs, dashboards and insights using SQL and Python.
• Background in Retail, Digital, or large-scale enterprise platforms.
• Ability to explain complex AI concepts in business terms.

Responsibilities

• Frontend development with ReactJS and Next.js.

• Hands-on work with AI and LLM-based systems, embeddings and offline AI setups.
• Work with vector databases like OpenSearch or Chroma for similarity search and RAG.
• Model evaluation, tuning and reducing hallucinations.
• Handle data using PostgreSQL and object storage (Azure Blob, Data Lake, MinIO).
• Analyze data, build KPIs and derive insights using SQL and Python.
• Collaborate with teams, follow Git, CI/CD, security practices, and scalable design.
• Translate complex AI solutions into measurable business value.

Role & Responsibilities

• Strong experience in frontend development using ReactJS and Next.js Solid backend engineering skills in Python (FastAPI) with working knowledge of NodeJS or NestJS
• Hands-on experience with AI and LLM-based systems, including embeddings, intelligent analysis, and private or offline AI setups
• Experience with vector databases such as OpenSearch or Chroma for similarity search and RAG-based solutions
• Practical exposure to model evaluation, response accuracy tuning, and hallucination reduction techniques
• Strong understanding of data handling using PostgreSQL and object storage platforms such as Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, or MinIO for structured and unstructured data
• Ability to analyze data, build KPIs, and derive actionable insights using SQL and Python
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, security best practices, and enterprise-grade system design
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to translate complex technical solutions into measurable business value
