Job summary

Valtech is seeking a Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Developer in Bangalore. You will build and optimize customer journeys, develop personalized content using AMPscript/SSJS, and manage data models across campaigns for multiple markets and languages.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of SFMC experience, with strong collaboration skills and familiarity with Agile methodologies. The role offers remote and hybrid options with international mobility and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud modules: Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Contact Builder/Data Extensions.
• Proficiency in AMPscript, SSJS and SQL for personalization and data manipulation.
• Experience with API-based integrations between Marketing Cloud and CRM/Commerce platforms.
• Understanding of email deliverability, segmentation and personalization best practices.

Role responsibilities

Build and configure journeys in Journey Builder and automations in Automation Studio per approved user stories

Develop AMPscript/SSJS personalization and dynamic content for email and other channel templates

Create and maintain data extensions, SQL query activities and contact/subscriber data models

Build and QA one-shot and always-on campaigns across markets and languages

Support integration testing between CRM/Commerce platforms and Marketing Cloud (MC Connect, APIs)

Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide effort estimates for backlog items

Monitor and troubleshoot campaign KPIs (deliverability, opens, clicks, bounce rate) for delivered journeys

Produce and maintain technical documentation for delivered work

Where allocated (typically C3 grade), contribute a share of time to L3-level incident root-cause analysis and bug fixes

Required Skills & Experience:

• Solid hands-on experience with Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio and Contact Builder/Data Extensions
• Working knowledge of AMPscript, SSJS and SQL
• Experience with API-based integrations between Marketing Cloud and CRM/Commerce platforms
• Understanding of email deliverability, segmentation and personalization best practices
• Experience with version control and release processes for Marketing Cloud assets
• Good written and spoken English

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist or Developer certification
• Experience with additional channels (WhatsApp, KakaoTalk, LINE)
• Experience in retail or luxury goods marketing environments
