Job summary

Valtech in Bangalore is seeking a ReactJS Associate Architect with 8+ years of frontend experience to design scalable UI architectures and high-quality user interfaces. You will drive modern frontend patterns, coordinate with backend teams, and ensure performance and accessibility across devices.

You will work in an environment that values continuous learning, collaboration, and impact, while exploring Next.js, SSR/ISR, and modern tooling in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of frontend experience with modern JS/TS stack.
• Strong React.js knowledge, Hooks and component patterns.
• Hands-on Next.js with SSR/SSG/ISR and App Router.
• Experience with styling, data fetching, and state mgmt.

Responsibilities

• Develop and architect scalable UI components using React.js/Next.js.
• Leverage SSR/ISR/App Router for performance and SEO.
• Translate designs to high-quality, responsive frontend code.
• Manage complex state with modern libraries and APIs.
• Collaborate with backend teams to define API contracts.

The role

Role responsibilities

• Develop & Architect: Build scalable, user-facing features and highly reusable UI components using React.js and Next.js.
• Next.js Optimization: Leverage Next.js capabilities including Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Static Site Generation (SSG), Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR), and the new App Router for optimal performance and SEO.
• UI/UX Implementation: Translate wireframes and high-fidelity designs (from Figma/Adobe XD) into responsive, high-quality code.
• State Management: Manage complex application state using modern tools (e.g., Redux Toolkit, Zustand, Context API, or React Query).
• API Integration: Connect frontend applications to RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL endpoints, handling data fetching, caching, and error handling efficiently.
• Performance Tuning: Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and Core Web Vitals across various devices and browsers.
• Collaboration: Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and collaborate closely with backend developers to define API contracts and data structures.
• Testing: Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years of professional experience in frontend web development.
• Core Tech: Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• React.js: Deep understanding of React core principles, Hooks, Component Lifecycle, and functional component architecture.
• Next.js: Proven, hands-on experience building production applications with Next.js (familiarity with both Pages Router and the App Router).
• Styling: Strong CSS skills, with experience in modern styling solutions like Tailwind CSS, CSS Modules, or Styled-Components.
• Data Fetching: Experience with modern data fetching and caching libraries (e.g., React Query / TanStack Query, SWR, Axios).
• Version Control: Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket).
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail and UI consistency.

Nice-to-Have (Preferred) Skills

• Experience with backend technologies (Node.js, Express, or NestJS) and Next.js API Routes.
• Familiarity with GraphQL (Apollo Client/Urql).
• Experience deploying Next.js applications to platforms like Vercel, AWS Amplify, or Dockerized environments.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright).
• Experience with Headless CMS platforms (Sanity, Strapi, Contentful).
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong personal portfolio.
