Job summary

Valtech, the experience innovation company, is hiring Lead Developer - Sitecore in India for Ahmedabad/Bengaluru/Gurugram/Pune. You will design, develop and optimize Sitecore XP (9 or 10) solutions, using .NET, C#, and MVC.NET, to deliver compelling digital experiences.

You should have 6–8 years of professional software development with hands-on Sitecore delivery, and strong skills in Solr search, Azure DevOps, NUnit/xUnit and AI-assisted coding.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of professional software development with hands-on Sitecore delivery.
• Sitecore XP: version 9 or 10, with understanding of content architecture and development lifecycle.
• Back end: .NET 8 or 10, C#, and MVC.NET.
• Search: Solr in Sitecore context.
• DevOps: Azure DevOps, including Git repositories and CI/CD pipelines.
• Testing and tooling: NUnit/xUnit and Visual Studio.
• AI-assisted development: Cursor or Claude Code.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and customise Sitecore XP (9 or 10) solutions using .NET (8/10), C#, and MVC.NET.
• Implement and optimise search functionality using Solr, including indexing and query tuning.
• Manage source control, builds, and releases using Azure DevOps (Git repositories and Pipelines).
• Write unit and integration tests using NUnit/xUnit within Visual Studio, and maintain code quality.
• Use AI-assisted coding tools to improve productivity, with appropriate code review and human oversight.
• Take part in code reviews, technical design discussions, estimation, and sprint ceremonies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects across development, test, and production environments.
• Document solutions and support junior team members through knowledge sharing.

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Sitecore XP: version 9 or 10, with a good understanding of content architecture and the Sitecore development lifecycle.
• Back end: .NET (8 or 10), C#, and MVC.NET.
• Search: practical experience with Solr in a Sitecore context.
• DevOps: Azure DevOps, including Git repositories and CI/CD pipelines.
• Testing and tooling: NUnit/xUnit and Visual Studio.
• AI-assisted development: practical experience with tools such as Cursor or Claude Code.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have qualifications

• Sitecore or Microsoft certifications are a plus but not required.
• Sitecore serialization experience: Sitecore TDS, Unicorn, and/or Sitecore Content Serialization.
• Sitecore certification.
