Job summary

NNE invites an experienced Advanced Project Controller to join the Project Cost Management team in Bengaluru. You will manage project cost controls, lead financial governance, and drive performance reporting for large-scale pharma engineering projects.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years in project controls, strong EVMS experience, and proficiency with PIMS, NAV, SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Projects. This is a senior, on-site role with a focus on cost management and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in Project Controls.
• Experience with Earned Value Management methodology.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Lead project financial management for medium to large-scale projects.
• Drive forecasting and scenario-based analyses to support decision-making.
• Perform deep-dive EVM and cost trend analysis to identify performance deviations.
• Coordinate and challenge inputs from engineering, procurement, and construction for robust forecasting and progress reporting.
• Facilitate risk and opportunity reviews with a live register linked to forecasts.
• Provide insightful commentary on project performance to Project Managers and stakeholders.
• Support audit readiness and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Power BI dashboards, automation).
• Coach and guide junior project controllers to ensure knowledge transfer.

You will be part of our Project Controls Team, which includes 50 dedicated controllers in Denmark and India who manage the largest execution projects at NNE. We engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, and our ambition is to act as reliable partners, offering support that ensures stakeholders feel in control and well-assisted. This requires a proactive approach to task resolution and a high degree of flexibility.

How You Might Spend Your Days

As an Advanced Project Controller, you'll be working with an innovative, multi-disciplinary team where you will work on the following:

• Lead project financial management for medium to large-scale projects, ensuring cost accuracy, control, and proactive variance analysis.
• Drive forecasting and scenario-based analysis to support decision-making.
• Perform deep- drive EVM and cost trend analysis to identify performance deviations and improvement areas.
• Coordinate and challenge inputs from engineering, procurement, and construction disciplines for robust forecasting and progress reporting.
• Facilitate risk and opportunity reviews, maintaining a live register and linking impacts to financial forecasts.
• Provide insightful commentary on project performance to Project Managers and stakeholders.
• Support audit readiness and ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Power BI dashboards, automation, process optimization).
• Coach and guide junior project controllers, ensuring knowledge transfer and consistent practices across the team.

You will work as part of a project cost management team. You will manage Project Cost at all levels.

The miles you’ve walked

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
• 12+ years of experience within Project Controls
• Experience within Project Planning and Project Risk Management is an advantage
• Experienced in the use of Earned Value Management methodology
• You are fluent in English, spoken and written.
