NNE Inc. in Bangalore is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to help design and deliver world‑class pharma facilities.

You’ll work with a passionate team and collaborate with colleagues in Denmark on state‑of‑the‑art projects and regulatory standards. The role covers IO allocations, instrument sizing, DCS/PLC design, and FAT/SAT planning, with opportunities for site travel across India or abroad.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Pharma / Oil & Gas / Chemical industries.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Handle IO allocations and IO scheduling.
  • Electrical and control wiring for instruments.
  • Ensure ATEX, ISA, and IEC safety compliance.
  • Lead instrumentation design activities and sizing.
  • Plan FAT/SAT and supervise contractors during construction.
  • Collaborate across disciplines and manage interfaces.
  • Travel for site visits as required.

How you might spend your days (Main Roles & Responsibilities)

As an Instrumentation Engineer, you’ll be working with an innovative, multi-disciplinary team where you’ll :

  • Able to perform on IO allocations, IO schedule, JB schedule, etc.
  • Able to perform electrical and control wiring for Instruments.
  • Have sound knowledge in ATEX, ISA and IEC, safety requirements.
  • Make decisions and solve problems related to the Instrumentation design activities for the project.
  • Understanding of testing and calibration of Instruments.
  • Will be supporting the lead of the project or package from the project in all project sizes and phases.
  • Executing projects in the construction phase by supervising contractors and suppliers.
  • Planning and controlling FAT/SAT activities
  • Shall be able to execute pharma projects autonomously and take Instrumentation Specification and sizing responsibility in all projects.
  • Should have the ability to understand the scope baseline and should have thorough knowledge in addressing change control.
  • Plan and take technical responsibility for own discipline.
  • Ensure interfaces to and coordination with other disciplines.
  • Ensure disciplinary consistency, quality, and compliance.
  • Take initiative to find effective engineering design solutions to problems arising in your own discipline, in the interfaces with other disciplines
  • Coordinate and support other team members in their discipline or department
  • Help in the development of competency of the employees of areas of your own expertise
  • Follow the latest technology trends within the instrumentation discipline
  • Review the work of Engineers/ Jr. in own discipline
  • Share knowledge across projects for technical and project execution alignment within own discipline.
  • Cost calculations, input for proposals and review of costs for proposals
  • Support in the development of standards and guidelines
  • Technical leadership setting direction/standards within and in alignment with the team
  • Passionate about technical discipline
  • Diligence to solve problems and finish work in a structured manner. Provide advice to customers proactively.
  • Planning and progress evaluation skills at the overall discipline level
  • A good team player
  • Responsible for the technical outcome of own discipline in projects
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with technical solutions
  • Be Innovative in your approach & take initiative for continuous improvement
  • Ready to travel anywhere in India or abroad for site visits and shall be able to solve queries related to the site.
  • Working with a team of 35 Instrumentation engineers based in our office in Bangalore

The miles you’ve walked (Education and Work Experience)

In all positions there are some things that are needed, and others a bonus. We believe these qualifications are needed for you to do well in this role:

  • You have a degree in engineering in Instrumentation Engineering or relevant engineering discipline.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years of Engineering experience in Pharma/ Oil & Gas/ chemical industries or similar.
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written.
