Job Description

SAEL is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Executive Accounts Payable to manage end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) operations for its Gujarat-based projects. The candidate will be responsible for vendor invoice processing, GST and TDS compliance, vendor reconciliation, payment processing, and maintaining accurate financial records using SAP and Tally.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Accounts Payable, strong knowledge of statutory compliance, and the ability to coordinate effectively with vendors, procurement, stores, and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounts Payable & Invoice Processing

• Verify vendor invoices against purchase orders, contractual terms, quantities, and delivery details.
• Process vendor invoices and obtain necessary internal approvals.
• Manage the end-to-end P2P cycle, including vendor advances, debit/credit notes, and payments.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.
• Ensure timely invoice booking and payment processing as per agreed timelines.

2. GST & TDS Compliance

• Verify GSTIN, HSN/SAC codes, applicable GST rates, and tax calculations.
• Perform GSTR-2A/2B reconciliation and coordinate with vendors to resolve mismatches.
• Ensure accurate TDS deduction and timely deposit, and support TDS return filing.
• Assist in GST audits, assessments, and statutory and tax audit requirements.

3. Accounting, MIS & Reporting

• Process invoices and maintain accurate accounting records using SAP (SAP HANA/FI-MM) and Tally.
• Perform bank reconciliation and ledger scrutiny.
• Prepare AP ageing reports, vendor reconciliation statements, and periodic MIS reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing, including provisions and accruals.
• Maintain proper physical and digital records for audit purposes.

4. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with procurement, stores, and site teams to resolve GRN and invoice-related issues.
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, payment status, and account reconciliation.
• Provide relevant documents and information to internal, statutory, and tax auditors.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3-6 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable or Finance & Accounts.
• Hands-on experience with SAP (SAP HANA/FI-MM); knowledge of Tally is desirable.
• Strong understanding of GST, TDS, vendor reconciliation, and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting, and MIS preparation.
• Good communication, analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com in Commerce or Accounting.
• MBA/PGDM in Finance will be an added advantage.
• Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, EPC, or manufacturing organizations preferred.
• Knowledge of Gujarati, Hindi, and English is desirable.
