Job summary

SS Consulting is seeking a meticulous finance professional to maintain end-to-end books for the company, including consolidation with Head Office, and to close books monthly with P&L, balance sheets and MIS reports. Proficiency in Tally and strong Excel skills are essential.

The role involves coordinating with the estate/factory manager, handling vendor negotiations, ensuring GST, PF, ESI and TDS compliance, and supporting board meetings with financial notes and variance analysis.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of accounting standards, statutory compliances, and Companies Act requirements.
  • Experience with accounting software and strong proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain end-to-end books of accounts for the Company, including consolidation of factory accounts with Head Office books.
  • Account for factory-related expenses, raw material purchases, production costs, inventory, and overheads.
  • Generate sales e-invoices based on approved sales orders and ensure statutory accuracy.
  • Periodically close books of accounts and prepare Profit & Loss Account, balance sheet schedules, and MIS reports.
  • Prepare and present financial statements and budget-analysis to the Board of Directors.
  • Proficiency in Tally is mandatory
  • Open to learn new accounting software, systems and skills.
  • Coordinate with the Estate/Factory Manager and factory staff on accounting, costing, inventory, and operational finance matters.
  • Handle and support vendor negotiations related to factory purchases and services.
  • Ensure timely payment and compliance of all statutory dues including GST, PF, ESI, TDS
  • Ensure completion of all statutory filings and returns within prescribed timelines.
  • Coordinate with Statutory Auditors and the Company Secretary for audits, assessments, and regulatory matters.
  • Assist in Board meeting procedures and compliances as required under the Companies Act; prepare financial notes and variance analysis.

  • Coordinate with Statutory Auditors and the Company Secretary for audits, assessments, and regulatory matters.
Corporate Governance & Board Support
  • Assist in Board meeting procedures and compliances as required under the Companies Act.
  • Prepare financial notes, explanations, and documents required for Board meetings and statutory records.
  • Support budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards, statutory compliances, and Companies Act requirements.
  • Experience with accounting software and strong proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and negotiation skills Communication in English is mandatory.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and accountability.
